Puerto Rico
At the end of December 2007 my Mother and I spent a week in Puerto Rico. We had a wonderful time. I taught her to use my SLR as she did not have a digital of her own. (I will point out any photos that she took) The rainbow seen on the first page was taken on Christmas day at the Casa Grande Mountain Retreat in Utuado. I have seen many rainbows, including double bows, and this was the most gorgeous I have seen. I should have enough frames to stitch together a good panoramic of it.
The blue glow seen on the first page is from the Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo.

on January 3, 2008Photographing the effect of the Bio bay is pretty hard, and this photo does not do the experience justice. I had to use an iso of 3200, an f/stop of 1.4 (Pentax-M f1.4), and 20-30 second long exposers. To make things even more interesting, I forgot to bring my tripod. What is shown in the photo, is the color of bioluminescence in the water. I framed the photo where the ripples of the boat cutting through the water were. I like how it came out, though at larger sizes the artifacts from a high ISO are apparent.
