Just a test photo

So I was sitting in bed, getting ready to fall asleep. It dawned on me that I really wished I had off camera HSS. Now I know i can can trigger more advanced flashes by using my flash in a master slave mode, and flashes will communicate as the shutter is moving. That is nice and all, but I have an investment in lower cost flashes (except for my Sigma EF-500 DG Super). Then it dawned on me; my Sun Pak 622 Pro Super has a guide number of 200 @ 100 iso. The light from the Sunkpak seems to take a while to die off. My thought was that my Sigma EF-500 could trigger the SunP Pak while in HSS mode @ 1/4000 of a second. I have a wein peanut slave connected to the 622. I composed a shot (still in my bed), hit the shutter and bam, i get this photo. Well i took a photo right before this one, with just the Sigma. I had the Sigma aimed away from the subject so it did not light the fan at all. So this photo is lit completely with an off camera optically triggered 622 Super. Ohhhh yeah. ;-)
